Mt. Sabrina Mountain View Resort

Mt. Sabrina Inland Resort is located In General Santos City!

They have very nice rooms for overnight stay and the pool area is open for day tour for only 100php per pax. The cottages costs around 300 php to 500 php.. Food and drinks are not allowed. The restaurant is  open 24 hours.

They too have huge function rooms for different occassions and events. They  also have a lovely garden for weddings and debuts.

I feel in love with the place right away because of the calmness and serenity of the ambiance. Indeed, the resort brings a relaxing feel to the soul.

Taisho Japanese Restaurant

Taisho Japanese Restaurant is an affordable Japanese food chain located at dumoy, Davao City.. The place is small but well arranged and organized.. Its not very appealing on the outside but once you get inside the premise you’ll be mesmerized by the decorations. It feels like you are in Japan.

I wasn’t really able to take good pictures since there were plenty of customers at the time.

The place is very simple and welcoming. The staff were friendly and polite to answer the quieries..

But, I was really amazed by the food and its prices because each menu/variant only costs Php 99.00.  Unlike other Japanese restaurants that I’ve been which are much more way expensive and yet it has the same taste with Taisho Restaurant..

Although the serving is good for one person but its enough already and with just Php 99.00 you can taste everything in the menu without worrying too much of the cost.

With our Php 500.00, we were able to order a Ramen, Katsudon, Sashimi, Maki and a dessert – Fried Mango..

If your in Davao City, don’t forget to visit at Taisho Japanese Restaurant beacause  you don’t need to be Japan to experience their cuisine.

Dahican Beach, Mati, Davao Oriental, Philippines

20140610-101302-36782012.jpg
My hubby and I planned this trip for his 31st Birthday. I’ve seen a lot of pictures from Facebook and they all seem promising and nice.

20140610-101632-36992097.jpg

It’s about 2-3 hours from Davao City. make sure to take this road -Dalang Maharlika (short-cut).

20140610-102014-37214121.jpg

We made some stop overs too, to have some snacks and to take pictures.

20140610-102210-37330889.jpg

20140610-102211-37331277.jpg

At this point, we were in Davao Oriental. This was our first time here in Mati.

Almost there..

20140610-103717-38237720.jpg

To my surprise, the place wasn’t that nice as i expected. This is the government owned part of the beach. There were open cottages for rent. some of the buildings were still under construction.

I’ve seen some young people camping.
So, We just decided to have some picnic. We’re kinda hungry from a long drive. It’s better to bring your own food too.. I didn’t see much restaurants from the city proper (Jollibee & some barbeque eatery).

We were not asked to pay any entrance fee. Just make sure to clean and be responsible with your trash.

Resort Hopping – Since I haven’t booked ahead of time.. Here are some resorts that i have seen there.
– Dahican Surf Resort
– Botona Resort
– Pacific Breeze
– Kubo Resort (kinda remote)

This is the Kubo Resort. The beach area was not maintained. I don’t see any people swimming. They have a pool but i think its salt water. I saw a water pump from the beach.

Sad to say, most of the resorts there were fully booked at that time. We decided to go back to Pantukan (still part of Davao Oriental) and to look for a nicer and safer place to stay for the night.

With the help of our GPS, we found Jienos Beach Resort. We were very tired and call it a night but not without blowing the candles of my hubbys cake.

Happy 31st Birthday! We love you very mucho!
